Pharmacology Bootcamp for Nursing Students

2-Part Workshop Series | LifeSaver Education

The Pharmacology Bootcamp Series helps students move beyond memorizing drug lists and instead understand how medications work, how nurses safely administer them, and how medications are managed in real patient care settings.

This two-part workshop is ideal for RN students, LVN students, new graduate nurses, and healthcare providers who want to strengthen their pharmacology knowledge and improve medication safety before entering clinical practice.

Pharmacology Bootcamp – Part 1

Drug Classes, Mechanisms & High-Yield Medications

This session focuses on helping students understand pharmacology concepts and the medications most commonly encountered in nursing school and clinical practice.

Topics include:

• Drug classifications made simple
• Mechanisms of action explained clearly
• High-yield medication groups tested in nursing programs
• Nursing considerations for medication administration
• Recognizing medication side effects and complications
• NCLEX-style pharmacology questions and clinical scenarios

Medication Safety & Clinical Medication Management

This session focuses on real-world nursing medication management, helping students develop safe medication habits before entering clinical settings.

• Matching admission medications with the eMAR
• Identifying medication discrepancies and potential errors
• Verifying patient allergies
• Understanding weight-based medication dosing
