ECG Rhythm Bootcamp for Nursing Students

2-Part Workshop Series | LifeSaver Education

Practice cardiac rhythm interpretation with a practical, step-by-step approach designed specifically for nursing students. The ECG Rhythm Bootcamp Series at LifeSaver Education helps students learn how to systematically interpret ECG rhythms, recognize life-threatening arrhythmias, and connect rhythm interpretation to real clinical situations.

This two-part workshop series is ideal for RN students, LVN students, new graduate nurses, and healthcare providers who want to build confidence interpreting telemetry rhythms commonly encountered in nursing school, clinical rotations, and exams.

Students will learn a clear rhythm interpretation framework and practice applying it through case studies, rhythm drills, and clinical scenarios.Perfect for:

  • RN students

  • LVN students

  • paramedic students

  • new graduate nurses

Cost: $40 per student

10 seats available per 4 hr session

Bootcamp Schedule

ECG Bootcamp – Part 1

Foundations of Rhythm Interpretation

This session focuses on building the foundation needed to confidently read ECG rhythm strips.

Students will learn:

• The cardiac conduction system
• Components of an ECG rhythm strip
• P waves, PR interval, QRS complex, and QT interval
• A systematic step-by-step rhythm interpretation method
• Identifying normal sinus rhythm
• Recognizing sinus bradycardia and sinus tachycardia
• Introduction to atrial rhythms

• Atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter

Students will practice rhythm interpretation using guided examples and practice rhythm strips.

ECG Bootcamp – Part 2

Arrhythmias & Clinical Rhythm Recognition

This session builds on foundational rhythm interpretation and focuses on recognizing clinically significant arrhythmias and emergency rhythms.

Students will learn:
• Supraventricular tachycardia
• Heart blocks (1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree)
• Ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation
• Asystole and life-threatening rhythms
• Connecting ECG rhythms to patient symptoms and clinical scenarios
• NCLEX-style rhythm interpretation questions

Students will practice recognizing rhythms through clinical case studies and rapid rhythm recognition drills.
